With the swirl of media soundbites, the impression has been created that the Australian Government has replaced a diesel electric French designed submarine for a nuclear powered American, or British, one. This is not the case.

FAQ: Action on Drought Relief for Australian Farmers
Australia is experiencing one of the worst droughts on record.
Australian farmers are incredibly resilient, but many farming families and communities are doing it tough. The drought relief measures announced offer direct assistance to farmers, increase economic activity in drought-stricken communities and provide farmers with the opportunity to better drought-proof their properties.
See below for FAQs about the Federal Government’s response to drought relief.
The Hon. Malcolm Turnbull MP, Prime Minister, The Hon. Michael McCormack MP, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, The Hon. David Littleproud MP, Minister for Agriculture.
Thousands of farming families will receive immediate additional financial support to help them and their communities fight one of the worst droughts of the past century.

Address to Federal Liberal Council, Sydney, June 2018
Our values are timeless because they are based on freedom. They are values which say that government’s job is to enable you to do your best. To realise your dreams, to get your business going, to get your career going, to see your kids getting ahead and getting a great education, to ensure that you get the best health care and the latest drugs - life-saving drugs - listed on the PBS. That’s what we want every Australian to do. Those are our values!
You know, those values are timeless and they are more timely now than ever because they are under challenge from Labor now, more than they have been in generations.

Curbing bracket creep puts money in pockets
This week we have delivered tax relief for all Australian workers. We are making taxes lower, simpler and fairer as part of our plan for a stronger economy.
The significance of this once-in-a-generation tax reform cannot be overstated. From next year, Australian workers will get a tax refund of up to $530. And then in the years ahead, this relief will increase so that Australians get to keep more of their own money. They will not be punished with higher tax rates when they get a new job, a promotion or a pay rise.
