Transcript: Q&A’s Error of Judgement

The ABC, as they’ve acknowledged, made a very grave error of judgement in allowing Mr Mallah to be in that live audience and allowing him to raise that question there.  I recognise that journalists have to talk to lots of people, but to have a person of that person in a live audience is a very grave error of judgement, both because of the things that he might say, which could be seen as disturbing community harmony and actually promoting terrorism and also from a simple physical security point of view, to have a person like that in an audience, large audience on live television.
