Here is a list of some fun dog walking areas in Wentworth. The list is divided up by local councils so you can find out where the best places are near you!

Make sure to check if your dog has to be on a leash, as some of these areas are strictly leash only.

Waverley Council

Suburbs in the Waverley Council precinct include: Bronte, Queens Park, Bondi Junction, Bondi Beach, Waverley, Dover Heights, Rose Bay, Diamond Bay and Vaucluse. See the following list for on leash and off leash areas your dog can enjoy in the Waverley area.

On leash areas

  • Bondi and Tamarama Promenades (only from 6pm-midnight, May-Oct and from 8pm-midnight, Nov-Apr).
  • Waverley Park, cnr Birrell St and Park pde, Bondi
  • Bondi-Bronte Coat Walk including seaside in Waverley Cemetery
  • Bronte Promenade (only from 8pm-9am)
  • All other parks and reserves

Off leash areas

  • Raleigh Reserve, end of Raleigh St to east end of Dover Heights, Dover Heights
  • Varna Park, Varna St, Waverley
  • Diamond Bay Reserve, Craig Avenue, Vaucluse
  • Dogs are prohibited on all beaches and within 10m of children's playgrounds.

Woollahra Council

The Woollahra Council area includes the suburbs: Watsons Bay, Vaucluse, Rose Bay, Point Piper, Double Bay, Bellevue Hill, Edgecliff, Woollahra and Paddington.

The Woollahra Municipality has around 43 hectares of park for dogs to enjoy! See the list below of on leash and off leash areas.

Randwick Council

Suburbs in the Randwick Council Precinct include: Clovelly, Kensington, Kingsford, Randwick, Maroubra, Coogee and South Coogee.

There are thirteen Exercise Parks for dogs within the City of Randwick that allows dog to be off the leash but still under the control of a competent person at all times. While dogs are allowed to roam leash free in these parks, there are still some prohibited areas. See the list below of where these parks are and their prohibited areas.
